| - In my previous visits to the GC, I was consistently less than pleased with my experiences. Between feeling not much valued as a customer, being treated as though no props whatsoever were in order, even having one rep basically try to cut in front of me trying to impress me or another customer maybe with some twisted thinking, I don't know, but it wasn't too good for the most part. Come to think of it, I was quoted one price for an item right there in the store, but charged $10.00 more for the item AND quite possibly some of the pieces were missing from the item I bought for my mixing board & rack mount FX which I was able to work around but that required time & creativity that's energy could have been allocated toward other things but that's past history now... So, I didn't have a lot to say that was very good up to this point about either LV GC's. (Someone would have to Pay me to walk in to Cowtown or Sam Ash, but that will likely not happen:) As a side note I took to buying online, out of state for the longest time (relatively BIG bucks mind you that could have gone local but did not) as a form of personal boycott: not good for the local economy right? (The correct answer as you may know is "Right." They didn't want my business so it seemed...BUT I digress and fast forward back to the present.
John went over the TOP. GC on Las Vegas Blvd. in the Town Square single handedly violently murdered all competition on higher end instrument and speaker cables. I left the store happier and more satisfied than anyone should be allowed to (based on past experience.)
Over $120.00 worth of high quality cables and adapters for half that amount. I nearly spent $100 on just 2 cables. I got 2 EXCELLENT speaker cab cables, a most awesome instrument cable, and an adapter that is certain to one day come in handy in some otherwise unforeseen situation. $59.00 and change. UNHEARD of. That really made up for a lot of bad past experiences. The guys on staff that were there that morning before noon anyway, were just incredible. very professional, knowledgeable and equally important at least COURTEOUS and considerate of whatever remote possibility might exist that a person like myself just might know wht the f they're doing. That wasn't the case before. I found myself consistently leaving their store telling myself to write it off, forget it, pretend it never happened until next time when I would be reminded that it actually did.
In conclusion as the entire preceding paragraphs were the summary, I hope my next visit is even HALF as good as this one. I thank John again. He proved to be knowledgeable, considerate, courteous EXTREMELY helpful. I save a TON of resources allocated to my musical production project and walked out with WAY more than I bargained for 150 Stars for this visit. I hope yours will be as good as mine and we can salvage ill will toward those who resented us or whatever the problem is/was whatever.
