| - Here's the deal: This place is all about the gimmick. I'll admit it, having rolled ice cream does sound cool. I went in after seeing a large sign advertising a discount for their 'grand opening.' Upon inquiring, I was told that they actually were only offering the discount for a short time (which is indicated in tiny print on the sign) and no longer had the discount. This seems pretty dishonest, no?
Anyway, I had wanted to try the ice cream regardless and put in an order for Thai tea ice cream with mango. The rolled ice cream is expensive. It costs upwards of 6$. It took a looooooong time to receive the ice cream. Like 30 minutes, as the guys working there had to spend a good 5 minutes making each order. They offer to add toppings (two for free I believe), and I asked for pretzels and whipped cream....that is, until they pulled out a cheap can of whipped topping from the grocery store, and I stopped them. For 6$ they don't offer real whipped cream? I opted for strawberries instead. When I got the ice cream, the strawberries were cut up, but the pretzels were left whole, which made it difficult to eat. The pretzels were essential to the ice cream's flavor, however, because without them, it would have been way too sweet. Anyway, with the wealth of places in town that make homemade ice cream and homemade whipped cream and offer these products for less money, I don't know why anyone would come here.
