| - This is, hands down, my favorite hotel in Las Vegas, to date. I hear great things about Aria, but I haven't yet had the pleasure. I really don't feel strongly compelled to find out, however, because I'm THAT in love with The Cosmopolitan.
There's so much to look at and to interact with here, it's on another level. The room was huge, and filled with interesting objects that made it feel like a classier, funkier version of home. Plenty of places to charge your phone and other electronic devices. There was a pretty cup filled with colored pencils on the desk, interesting light fixtures, and thought-provoking and beautiful books, sandwiched by neat, artsy book ends. The shower was awesome. The view was incredible - my room looked right out over the Bellagio fountains. The patio had super comfortable, clean furniture, and it was so nice to just sit and read a book while enjoying the breeze, high above the chaos of the strip. I would have loved to just spend a week hanging out in my hotel room and enjoying their pool deck.
Speaking of which... nobody compares when it comes to the view from the pool. Looking one way, you see the strip. Looking the other way, you can see the snow-capped mountains in the distance.
The service from the employees that work in the shops is top notch - everyone I spoke with was friendly, upbeat, and great at their jobs. The restaurants here are excellent as well - I highly recommend China Poblano as well as Wicked Spoon. And the Art-O-Mat machines! Definitely don't miss those. Bring home some awesome hand-made art from a wide variety of artists, small enough to fit in your carry-on when you go home.
I can't wait until the next time I get to stay here.
