  • Man, I've never given such a low review... where do I start? So I get an hour long lunch everyday. I work extremely close to La Santisma, so I figured that this would be a great place to check out and that I'd have plenty of time to sit down and enjoy my food. Wrong. I showed up with a coworker around 2:30pm. There were maybe 18 other customers MAX in the restaurant. It took about 15 minutes for us to get cups of water and it took 30-35 minutes for someone to take our order. And had I not approached a waitress requesting to have our orders taken, it probably would've taken longer. There were plenty of waiters and waitresses standing around, chatting. Customers that came in after us were served before us. The menu is huge. There is SO much to choose from. This is a huge plus! It's a little overwhelming but I LOVE variety. I couldn't decide so I asked the waitress to tell me what the spiciest burrito on the menu was. I ended up requesting the Mayan burro. While we were waiting for our food to arrive, we checked out the awesome salsa bar. I LOVE salsa and tried every single one of their options. My favorite was definitely the cilantro one as well as the green chile one. We visited the salsa bar 3-4 times (seriously, we loved it), and our food still hadn't arrived. Upon its arrival, we had to wait an extra couple of minutes for utensils and napkins. By the time we had everything, we had maybe 10 minutes left to eat our food. I ended up eating a fourth of my burrito and took the rest to go. I was late for work. The burrito itself was not spicy, but it was good! It was a good portion, it was $9.99, and it was very flavorful... after I drowned it in salsa. Honestly, I probably wouldn't get it again. And I know this place is known for their tacos and not their burritos, so I'll be sure to check them out if I ever come here again. And to be quite blunt, I don't know if I ever will. I'm not sure the food is worth the wait and the horrible service... As much as I loved the salsa bar and the ambiance, I definitely feel like there's some other place out there that has better service and better salsa. Until the next time I decide to visit this location and update my review, this place gets two stars for me. I might even consider just doing take out because there is no way I'm waiting again. I can only imagine how long the wait is during lunch hour... There are so many areas for improvement. I truly do hope some of these concerns are addressed. I really wanted to like the place, but I just can't get past the horrible service.
