  • This place is always packed with people-a sure sign they're doing something right-and they certainly are! My friends and I arrived a little after 8:00 PM on a Friday night and the entire restaurant was full of people. After waiting near the hostess stand for no longer than ten minutes some seats opened up at the bar, we were in! From that point forward it was a 5-star dining experience. We were greeted by such friendly bartenders who offered us samples of the beer and wine we were interested in. The hostess even came over to let us know she was keeping her eye out for an opening table. Food: Everything was so fresh, delicious, flavorful, and unlike any placed we've dined in Pittsburgh in quite some time. Caribbean cuisine at its finest. For starters we ordered the Yucatan Hot Bean Dip with House-made Chips & the Lobster Tacos. The dip came out sizzling hot, a blend of beans, cheese and spices baked to perfection served with their house-made chips that really pack a punch! Quite spicy. We could have eaten the dip by the spoonful we were practically drooling over it. The Lobster tacos are served on three mini hard shells with cabbage and some other fixings. Very substantial amount of Lobster so you're getting your money's worth. My friend loved them-high quality lobster. For entrees we ordered the Jerked chicken thighs and the Caribbean Rainbow Salad. Jerk chicken was seasoned to perfection, very large portion served with two sides. The salad was enormous and comes served like a chopped salad with all the ingredients separated for you to toss on your own. So fresh and flavorful, close to 20 different ingredients in total. Overall dinner was fabulous, not a single complainant, and we will certainly be back again. It's very unlike us to not even look at the dessert menu--I guess it's safe to say we were completely satisfied and didn't need to consume one more thing. One additional bonus is the menu is seasonal which keeps it interesting and us coming back for more. Ambiance: Very unique Caribbean décor inside. Lots of wooden figurines and statues around the restaurant. Darker, romantic lighting. Caribbean music. Restaurant is on the smaller side but they pack in a lot of tables inside, outside and there's a long bar inside that seats about 20 people. Very cozy. The upstairs bathroom even has a beautiful mural painted along the walls. Overall service was great, food came out quick & always delicious, we loved every moment of our dining experience here. Can't wait to come back for more.
