| - Amazing, great bagels and cream cheese selections! They are new at this and thus I have a few suggestions to make this place even better than it is! Absolutely loved the bagels. They are so much better when fresh and warm. They should advise their retailers to toast them if they are cold or no longer warm.
1. Hot single bagels to go or to be eaten in the store should have the option to have their cream cheese spread on the bagel and not just in a "to-go" small plastic container.
2. These single bagels, if warm from being so fresh or if toasted, need to be wrapped in a small-sized foil wrap after being sliced and having the cream cheese smeared on them. Once wrapped in foil, they should then be placed in the paper sleeve. This will help to keep the bagel warm. If the bagel is cold, then the taste and texture is compromised. I got a few singles to bring back to my hotel downtown, and by the time I got to my hotel (about a 3 minute drive) the bagels were already cool. If they were wrapped in foil, this would not have been the case.
3. There should be a cooler or glass door refrigerator with drinks - may I suggest Old City Soda and some juices (perhaps from a local Cleveland Juice shop). This is a source of more income, a no brainer, and a way to get more folks in the door. Have a glass door fridge with the best drink options!
4. The coffee in the Bunn machine looks so bad and undesirable - that coffee machine with the Bunn glass carafe is so luddite and from the '80s. It screams, "our coffee sucks and is burnt and over roasted"- even if it isn't The coffee should be AMAZING here. It should be served and displayed as such, being ground and brewed in a more high-tech new machine, and not one you'd find in the back office of an old gas station. There is a HUGE profit margin that can be made here. We wanted coffee and bagels, but had to go to Pour to get our coffee, as the coffee here did not look too good.
5. Custom printed coffee cups are a must.
6. Those working the bagel counter should wear food service gloves when filling orders and smearing the bagels. Employees should be taught how to adorn and remove them. Not wearing gloves is a no-no, and could really lead to bad impressions and concerns.
