If there's one restaurant I've been excited to dine at this trip, it's HEXX. The pictures on Yelp make this place look amazing but I should have realized that most happy Yelpers came for brunch. Dinner is something else.
My bf is gluten free but I'm not, and when we ordered two of the same meal but cooked differently, they made both gluten free making mine skip the fries garlic I was craving. They didn't offer to give me me garlic and didn't stop by to check on the table for 20+ minutes. Our waters were not once refilled in the hour we were there, and we were told the appetizer we ordered was gluten free, just to find out AFTER my Celiac-disease boyfriend spilt it with me that it wasn't.
While the location is great and it looks amazing, our service killed any chance for a higher review. We spent $80 on dinner and barely received any service...along with getting the wrong food.
I might try this again for brunch, but I wouldn't return for dinner. I can see why they're on Groupon, and hope they're able to work on their employee training so guests can have a better experience.
