  • This was probably one of the best brewery tours I've ever been on. I had low expectations because they brew only one beer (and a pilsner at that - one that I don't typically enjoy). But by the end of the tour I had become a Steam Whistle fan for life. The tour itself is absolutely worth the $10 (which is the low price and includes a glass or bottle opener). Our tour guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and well-spoken. A true wealth of information. You go through the tour with a headset which allows you to hear your guide at all times, even in the louder rooms. This was a nice touch, since some tours leave you straining to hear as you're walking or if you're in the back of the group. The tour also includes a sample of beer before and after the tour. Not to mention when you start the tour you're given a beer served in one of their very cool green bottles. In my opinion, this particular beer tastes much better in the bottle than on draft. There is much more that could be said but I'll leave it to you to experience yourself. This is a must-stop for anyone visiting Toronto.
