| - Had a bad experience here.
Ordered jackfruit taco (I love jackfruit, I ate it all the time growing up) but the way this jackfruit was prepared was gritty and gross. I had two bites and apologized - I couldn't eat it. I asked the guy behind the counter, who was presumably to owner, to cancel the debit transaction. Instead he scratched his head and went off into a rant about how he's been selling them for 2 years and nobody's ever turned them down. For a good ten minutes he just ranted and then tried the tacos I returned. He shook his head again and said "Nope, this is the way these are supposed to taste," and then put it back on the counter towards me as though I was supposed to eat it (um, not after you've just taken a bite, dude. really.) Finally he gave me some cash back for it. I felt so bad for rejecting it, but it was gross. I left feeling guilty, which is a way no customer should feel when leaving. I'm in Kensington pretty frequently with other vegan friends, but I always ask to steer clear of this place when we look for places to eat. Sorry, but that experience was just too much trouble for me.
