This was a fun place with good drinks and people generally having fun.
The food? It was OK. The idea is apparently to reclaim old classics, with things on the menu like chicken pot pie and devils on horseback. The pot pie was fine, although it seemed overpriced at $20. The sweetbreads were OK, but lacked the silky delicacy you expect from them. The fries that accompanied the burger were limp and uninteresting.
It's really not bad, and it was fun -- everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying themselves, and there was a great friendly vibe. The service was attentive if not particularly effusive.
