The ambiance here is nice--they do the "old West roadhouse" thing very well. The food is mediocre, as is the service. The barbecue was bland and disappointing--I can mention at least 6 other places in the Phoenix area whose faire is much more pleasing to the palate. The portions are small--much less than we were led to believe from their advertising. The prices were mind-boggling: $60 for 1 appetizer, 2 lunch entrees, and a cup of coffee. No dessert, no drinks. We left feeling both hungry and short-changed. Everyone was pleasant enough, but we certainly didn't feel like we got what we paid for at the Horny Toad.
