A very large memorial that details the experience and input of Southwestern Pennsylvania on the efforts of World War II. As a steel manufacturing capital, the efforts of SW PA'ers was critical in building weapons and defenses for the war. And of course, many PA residents were soliders, airmen, marines and sailors during the war.
Etched glass has pictures of the war, the soldiers, the prisoners-of-war and more.
Not quite as evocative or emotional as some and more of a story-telling memorial. Which is fine because there's a big story to tell.
Located on the North Shore, a block or so from Heinz Field.
