| - I came here for the first time during restaurant week. I was here on a Saturday night, the ambiance was great and the restaurant was packed. My favorite beer was on tap so that was definitely a plus (Wicked Weed - Pernicious). Our service was great, it was the main course that I was not impressed with. I had the Caesar salad (excellent!) Filet Oscar style with mashed potatoes. I personally, do not like RED steaks. Some people believe that anything more than medium ruins a steak, but there are those of us who prefer a steak to be cooked more. At a restaurant like this, I should be able to get my steak however I offer it. With that being said I was previously warned that the steaks are undercooked so I ordered mine medium well, hoping to get medium. What I received was medium rare, so my first steak was sent back. Second one that came was cooked a little more so I kept it. It was still not med-well like I ordered but luckily it was so dark in there I couldn't see if there was red leaking on my plate. Potatoes were very peppery. For someone who doesn't love pepper, they were just okay. Not as great as I was expecting. Desert, I had the bread pudding and it was fantastic! Only downfall here was the main course, and to me that is the most important. I probably won't return, there are other places I can get a steak of the same quality and have cooked the way I order.
