| - Hair salons, one of the scariest places on earth. Oh the fear of being judged on how terrible the condition of your hair is and whether you'll leave the salon feeling fabulous or worse than before and resentful. Well, I braved my trust issues and let Alysha's hands transform my nasty fried waist-length hair to a pixie cut. Holy moly, I'm so glad I did it!
Alysha was quick to think, upon showing her the style I wanted she asked me some questions about my hair and offered me suggestions of how we can tweak it to fit me. The consultation took about 5 minutes. She wasn't much of a talker but very friendly. She was very reassuring the entire time since I was going for a drastic change. One of the best parts was that she didn't pressure me to purchase the styling products she suggested. The whole process including consultation, wash, dry, cut, and style took about an hour.
I was nervous going in, really worried that the stylists are pretentious. But nope, the place was chill and everyone seemed friendly. The interior is pretty basic, no fancy schmancy decor.
I loved my experience so much that I recommended it to my sister. Apparently you get a discount if you refer people. The only downside is that it's too pricey for me. I'm not used to paying $50+ for haircuts so I don't think I'd come back unless I'm in need of a hairstyle change (once a year maybe).
