| - I stayed here for two nights during an intense road-trip that I undertook from NYC to Milwaukee. This occasion marked my 3rd experience with Red Roof Inn -- I previously stayed at their inns in Lancaster, PA and in Harrisburg, PA. Like those locations, this place in Willoughby, Ohio has the bare essentials -- a bed, a heating system, and a bathroom; and the price is excellent. I was able to get two nights here for $85. If all you desire is a place to spend the night, as I did, then this hotel is the best.
However, I warn that this hotel is somewhat dingy and is, therefore, not for everyone --- The television had awful quality, with a limited amount of channels. All of the lights in the room were dim, so I had difficulty arranging my hair with pomade in the morning. The shower was loud, and the tub was slow to drain; after 2 or 3 minutes, the water actually went up to ankles (it was that bad). I'm guessing the walls were thin (or something) because I was able to hear every word in the conversation taking place in the room next to mine (fortunately, those people went to bed early).
I give this place 4 stars solely because of the price. All I did here was shower, brush teeth, and sleep, as I went back on the road as soon as I could. Hence, I had no problem with this place, despite its obvious flaws. If, however, you intend to stay at your hotel for a significant time, then you might want to look for another place.
