Wife googled for a park that we could have a picnic at and the Wetlands park appeared. We have never heard of this place but we wanted to get out of the house since the weather was beautiful. We packed up our meal and our hawaiian thatch mat and headed out the door. Basically drove down east Tropicana just as the road changes names you turn left and enter Wetlands park. The place had an educational center, the trails were paved or easily recognizable and it curled in and out of a river ecosystem. The only downside is there is no grassy area to sit or picnic on but we made due on the benches. For city folk this was a nice hiking area that provided enough of nature but did not leave us fearing that we would have to use the stars to navigate our way back to civilization.
