I recently went from hair passed my shoulders to a pixie cut and having to suddenly deal with my hair growing 3 inches in less than 2 full months made me realize maintaining my new look was going to break the bank. This is why when I saw a Team Buy voucher for a $25 haircut at Peter Anthony with a limit of 3 per person (so basically 3 haircuts for the price of 1), I got super excited.
Before I purchased my 3 vouchers, I looked the salon up on here to check reviews and the like. The only one I could find was the one located directly below mine, and although it does not have anything nice to say, I could tell that the person seemed to be misinformed and all around had no idea what she was talking about (someone who never goes to salons claiming to know what one is supposed to be like) so I gave the place a chance. Any I'm VERY happy that I did.
For starters, it should be noted that the location has changed. It is now at 1200 Bay St in suite 503. Is the decor all sleek and modern with halogen lighting and a water feature in the lobby? No. But who cares? I would rather not pay $90 for a hair cut so the salon can pay the Ikea bill. As long as stylists know what they're doing, I could care less what the place looks like.
That being said, the staff was great. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and nice conversation and offered me something to drink as soon as I walked in. Peter was who cut my hair and he was very nice and professional. I told him I wanted to turn my grown out Michelle Williams cut into a Mia Farrow circa Rosemary's Baby cut. He listened and gave me exactly what I asked for. He has been cutting hair for over 20 years and it shows in his technique. I could tell that he really loved cutting my hair and was having so much fun with shaping and texturizing it.
I left there very happy and can't wait to use my other 2 vouchers.
