| - We went there to look at a 2006 Ford Mustang Standard Convertible that they advertised for $8,888. When we arrived the car was marked at $15K+. We almost turned around and left, but decided to talk to Juan to find out why the car was advertised for $8,888, but marked $15K. Juan couldn't explain it. We test drove the car and the car had the following issues that would need to be repaired, some cosmetic:
-Rear Muffler had corrosion on it.
-Car Pulled to the right
-CARFAX Reported car was in a Rear Accident ,
-5 Owners including 2 dealer transfers
-rubbers around convertible top cracking and flaking (need of repair down the road)
-Shift Gear chrome peeling (cosmetic)
-row bar was detached and appeared corroded and flaking
-Minor scratches throughout and buckling of Paint on Rear Bumper from some type of inside hit or damage. Clear Coat peeling off on Passenger side of car (small area)
-Car was manufactured and spent the first 4 years of its life in the state of Michigan. We asked if we could see underneath the car to check it for rust or other corrosion. We were told they would NOT raise it up for us but we were free to get on the ground and look. It was 115 degrees outside!
We looked up Kelly Blue Book and the FAIR Market Price for this vehicle without the above needing to be addressed is $8,628. We decided to offer them $8,000 for the vehicle. We were told by Juan his Used Car Manager was off on Sundays and he couldn't lower the price. Since we had 3 other mustangs to look at we left. Upon leaving the store we were approached by Tim the New Car Manager who was quite arrogant and rude. In addition to his many comments he told us the car was worth $15K and that he could sell it at auction before selling it to us. The car has been on their lot for 4 months. I wish them well at Auction, but feel for any uneducated buyer that may be taken in by them.
On a side note, Juan was extremely nice and polite, but Tim the manager was extremely rude and arrogant.
We are still looking. It's unfortunate that we had to experience this and walk from a car that we would of loved owning, but I don't give my business to people who are arrogant and unreasonable. There's too many cars out there!
