| - Today I walked into Nitsa's with my mother and MOH to search for a dress for my mom for my big day. We had originally been scheduled to go to Nitsa's for my wedding dress shopping, but after speaking to friends, they encouraged us to look elsewhere-- and I am so happy they did.
When we walked in today, we went to the rack to look for a dress, found one that looked great and was the right size for my mom, yet the salesperson almost had us walk out before even trying the dress on. To her face, the saleswoman said, "actually, that's a bridesmaid dress, "and proceeded to look my mother up and down in a way that clearly meant to deter her from trying the dress on. And said " it runs small."
My mother, too shocked to react, walked into the dressing room feeling terrible about herself, and me and my MOH stood, perplexed, and didn't even know how to react to such affronted rudeness.
After that, I highly recommend that any bride in the Charlotte area, not go to this store to look for your dress, but encourage you to try Ladies of Lineage, which was the most wonderful and special experience for not just me but my mother and MOH as well. A wedding is too special of an occasion to be tarnished by a frankly, disrespectful and unwelcoming experience.
