| - The social is a fun fallback west-end club. It plays house/electronic on main nights.
If you've never been here, given how long Social has been around, it is either A. you don't like electronic music B. you do not enjoy nightclubs C. you are from out of town.
There seem to be a lot of reviews written by types A and B. It seems unnecessary to write reviews of places that play music you don't like. I wouldn't go write a review about some Richmond area club just because I hate the music.
As far as line-ups, people and bouncers, the Social is pretty normal for QSW; meaning way shorter lines and ok bouncers compared to Richmond or King/Brant area. I have not waited in a line longer than say 4 people. Last, don't show up too early, if you really need to be in bed by 1am, then you are in the B category. There are tons on great bars that would be good.
For C, if you like electronic music and ok crowds you'll have fun here.
If you are looking for mainstream, Top 40, R&B, you'll have fun on Richmond street, if you are looking for upscale, lounge, afterwork, mature, try King/Brant area.
Back to the fallback point from the beginning of the article, there are better places to go now in QSW. (Just keep heading west, =)
