I have Autopay set up and the payment always comes out of the account on the date due, which is Jan 2 in this case. All of a sudden, I log into my online banking on December 30th and my account is in the negative. The water district took the payment out 3 days prior to the due date because of the "holiday." The employee I spoke to (Russell) is claiming if I would've paid it manually on the 2nd it still would've been late. He admitted the 2nd is not a holiday for the water district, but "it is for the banks". How unprofessional of this company to overdraft my account without my permission. I can't even begin to describe the frustration I felt speaking to Russell, especially when he told me I couldn't speak to a supervisor and it would take 3 days for them to call me. Is that 3 business days? I probably wouldn't hear from them in a week! He wouldn't even give me his last initial, employee number, or anything. Very poor customer service by telling me my payment would be considered late if I made it on the due date manually, which isn't even a holiday for the water district! I truly don't get it. Isn't Autopay supposed to be a good way to provide customer service? Ridiculous. NEVER AGAIN
