  • Afton Tavern is a good local food choice. My family and I enjoy sharing their warm cookie skillet- it is absolutely out of this world!!! The food is okay, but the service is not very quick. Also, some of the booth seating is not very comfortable, so I recommend sitting at a table when possible. On the bright side, Afton Tavern's prices are vary reasonable for lunch and dinner. The restaurant has different rooms that can be sectioned off to accommodate large private groups (perfect for large get togethers, team dinners, showers, graduations, etc.). The atmosphere is very family friendly, and has items on the menu that are accommodating for guests of various ages.
