| - Just to put it out there, I am not a ramen person. I've been to all the ramen places in Toronto and have sworn off ramen from my diet. They all tasted like MSG. The only reason I wanted to come here was because it is opened by Guu (I love Guu), and it's close to my work.
I arrived at 12:15 for lunch. I read some people say you must go when they open to get a seat. We just walked in and were seated right away by the door. Throughout the entire meal, I didn't see anyone wait longer than 10 minutes. I don't think it's a big problem during lunch hour.
The second you walk in you know it's a sibling of Guu, the wait-staff yelling their face off gave it away. The atmosphere is also very similar. It's a small restaurant tucked in my favourite baldwin street.
I ordered their pork special one with extra meat (prok belly) with soy soup. My friend got the spicy garlic with pork shoulders. Her soup was really good, the spice gave it a nice kick. Mine was delicious as well, a little too oily though, but still very good. The noodles are just right, not too soft like some other places.
Overall, if I ever want ramen, this is the place I would go to. To me, I think this is the best Ramen place in Toronto. I am curious to try their side dishes as well.
