| - Note: this is only about the Outpatient Mental Health Services
I don't know about other places that have OHIP covered mental health services in hospitals, but this is one of the worst, if not the worst, I've experienced. Even if you show up early for your appointment time, usually you are taken at least 20 minutes after your scheduled appointment, usually around 30 minutes, and at least a couple times 45 minutes to an hour. It's also hard to get a question answered and the reception for that section of the hospital seem to generally have relatively poor oral communication skills in that they mumble and are inefficient and disorganized. It is often hard to reach the therapist I had, even during normal working hours, sometimes it takes at least 3 days to return your calls. Plus the therapist I had changed two of my three medications for my issues and tried to encourage me to go off a couple of those medications, with disastarous results, and added one that really made me have a bad temper, while my original meds except for my antidepressant (the one I wanted changed) were working fine. Stay away from here if you can for mental health services. For other things, they've been pretty good.
