This is a great day trip and a good store. The employees are happy and friendly. The website implies you can view cheese making but there is no viewing platform yet. The curds are made in an adjoining building and packed in a room behind the store. You do get free samples and the local milk, white cheddar, and Monterrey jack are sold in the store. It take 7000 pounds of milk to make a batch of curds. These are either sold or pressed into molds and aged to make cheddar or jack. The whey is separated off and dried to be sold as a protein supplement. Other products are made from the milk as well and sent around the world. This is good for an afternoon and a great place to buy locally produced milk and cheeses.
