I have edited this review, as I went to two gaming stores that day and posted the wrong store's review originally. My apologies to anyone who acted upon the information therein. The correct review follows.
First of all this store is located in North Brampton near enough to the Brampton Auto Mall. This is convenient for me to drop in after car service with my wife being none the wiser. This was my first visit to this establishment.
The store looks like it used to be a diner, and as you enter a number of booths exist and are in use as a game playing area. For the non-gamer having a place to play is important to these kind of stores as it encourages members of the gaming community to come in and participate in games.
Next the store carries a good variety of GW and Privateer minis. Most of the GW ones are stored sideways on the shelf. It allows the store to carry a larger and inventory with more variety, however you do have to look a little closer to find what you want. But I had time and my wife and loud-talking daughter were not with me. They still have a decent amount of the now OOP Warhammer Fantasy, which I still buy & paint.
I was here primarily for paint for my collection of minis, and Cardboard memories did not disappoint. They carry Citadel, Privateer P3, and The Army Painter. The only challenge was I wanted a white paint-on primer and they were all out of white in all three lines (except for Citadel airbrush white)
There's a lot of board games. My wife and son would have been happy. Then off to the last section of the store, where its name came from - the wall of sports and collectable trading cards. I found some soccer cards for my soccer-obsessed son.
Will I come back? Yes. That being said, this store is about a 30 min drive from my house, so I'm likely only to come by when my car is in for service at the nearby dealer. Or if I need more paint...
