This is a great little science and nature center. Honestly I never knew it was here and it's 2 miles from my dad's house. We go to visit him 2-3 times a year. I happened upon by searching on yelp for things in the area to do. I'm really happy I did.
The day we visited it was too cold to explore the trails, so we will definitely have to return again and do that. We were lucky enough to be there when they were releasing a hawk that had been there for several months of rehabilitation, so that was a definite bonus.
The reptile collection is pretty impressive. I also enjoyed the fresh water fish exhibit. My son of course liked the play area with puppets and toys. I liked all the educational materials they provide for visitors, I think they're doing the community a great service here. And I love that it's free for visitors. They of course will graciously accept your donations :). They offer many educational programs here. And the gift shop is not to be missed! We stopped on the way out and picked up a few things. The woman working in there was very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to coming back in the summer and exploring those trails.
