This place will knock your rubbah slippah off!
I'm a BIG eater so I ordered a little bit of everything. I ordered the saimin, loco moco, garlic chicken, Korean chicken, garlic Mahi Mahi, ahi tofu pattie thing, and sesame chicken. I promise it wasn't all for me. I brought my family.
1. The restaurant was very welcoming. You could feel the Aloha spirit when you walk in.
2. The food was priced right on the money
3. The restaurant was very clean
4. The wait time was normal considering my large order
5. My favorite part, the food:
garlic chicken with mayo miso sauce- the chicken was marinated and had the right amount of flavoring. The mayo miso took it to another level. Very local comfort food with a gourmet twist.
Loco moco- I'm not big on loco moco's, but when I seen one coming out of the kitchen, it literally called my name. The hamburger patty was thick and juicy. The brown gravy was homemade. Rich and flavorful. It's definitely a home run.
Saimin- it had a light broth which I liked. The noodles had a nice al dente chew to it. Great side to a perfect meal.
Garlic Mahi- my husband ordered it and was raving about it. I was surprised cause he's not a big fish eater.
Ahi tofu patty- my mom ordered it and absolutely loved it.
Korean chicken- my husband likes chicken but never eats the battering or skin. I was surprised to see him clean the chicken off the bone.
Sesame chicken- we brought that home for later. While we watched a movie at home we tore that plate up like it was a food eating contest. The chicken was marinated perfectly. On the sweeter side with scoop of rice and mac salad. YUM!
I was wanting some dessert but they had sold out earlier in the day. My mom and brother was telling me there cakes are fabulous. I guess I'll just have to take another drive out to the NW to see for myself. All for yelp sake of course. That's they only way I could give a true review. LOL :)
The only negative is they don't have a location in Henderson. :(
This place is a must!
