| - I found this place driving home and saw they sold CBD and I happened to need a tank for my pen as well. Was heading to Nana's however stopped there since I needed more CBD oil for my vape since that's the only thing I smoke for my anxiety and depression and it helps ! I was wrong to try this place out but I really liked the staff I met there already so I really wanted to like it.
I asked a clerk for a high level of CBD for my pen. They recommended Tinctures as they sell them frequently and have them at a lower price however I explained that Tinctures don't affect me really and I don't like them and rather the vapable alternative. They handed me a product to try and I was excited and went home and as I went on to put it in my pen at home I saw it was a Tincture. No biggie, I didn't open it, and I returned the next day just to get an exchange on a Vapable Oil (Vegetable Glycerin).
I explained that I understand it may cost more however that is fine! I just want something that will be fine in my pen. A male clerk assisted me, he was there the night I went in initially and said that the tincture is vapable however it was Avocado oil based and that is not vapable, explained that I am not comfortable smoking tinctures at all, apologized, and asked for something to work for my pen. I apologized for bothering them since he seems mildly miffed that I didn't want to inhale oil products like that. Got another product that he said was for vaping that they ordered, charged me another 20$+ on top of my previous purchase, and sent me on my way.
Now, at this point I got in my car, read the ingredients and saw that it was in fact a Coconut oil based product. Looked on the FRONT of the box to see it was another Tincture. I already explained to him I can't smoke them and will not due to my research on vapes since I was a newbie at it and under no circumstances should one smoke oils like those you'd cook/eat with.
I walked back in, explained that. He was upset that I returned and that I stated its not vapable to which he claimed he vapes them all the time. Not sure if true or embarrassed and trying to make me trust them. However, I wasn't having it. I explained the health risks with inhaling oils like coconut, avocado, ect and then asked for Glycerin products only. Another staff member walked over, looked over products and said "hey this has glycerin in it, will it work?".
I checked it, it was, and the original member (maybe owner??? Not sure) said it was the same price as I already spent. I doubted this much but at this point of his frustrations and myself getting upset because I already clarified many times with what I wanted but kept getting the wrong product multiple times, I just accepted it and left.
Got into my car again, opened the bottle because I just wanted to put more CBD into my pen that I just got fixed with a new tank I purchased from the same store and saw that the product was completely ruined. It was like a lava lamp of sorts. Black thick mush among clear fluid. I shook it, and tried to get it to recombine however it didn't work and even tried tricks from the net like a hot water bath but it just became black mush again.
I essentially spent over 60$ to just get the run around, told that I can inhale products that I cannot do without getting sick, and get stuck with a bottle of black mush that's reminiscent of the tapioca pearls in Boba Drinks. Yeah, those black balls in those fancy milk tea drinks.
I really wanted to like the store.
Pros:
Most staff are pleasant
If you like flavoring for your juices they smell good there. Never tried them tho.
Cons:
Not a store for CBD unless you like tinctures I guess???
They don't really know their products besides tinctures for CBD
Not very understanding :(
If the bottle isn't clean (aka not dusty) then it's probably old and you should not purchase it at all.
Bottom Line, I was a fool. I should have skipped this place completely but the neon sign in the night with the big fat "We have CBD" sign really made me think it was a safe haven for my go to needs. I really wanted to make it my home since it had a neat atmosphere and a few cool dudes. I guess Paraphernalia Boutique is just going to be where I need to go to in the future even though its a drive from where I live.
Maybe if we met at a different time in our lives, we could have been cool business partners however I guess it was the wrong place at the wrong time and I got burned too many times. Actually 3 times. And I am short 60+$. Lesson learned. My little wallet heart might heal once more in time.
WARNING: DO NOT INHALE OILS THAT YOU'D USE IN BAKING. COCONUT OIL IS NOT SAFE TO INHALE! INHALING OILS LIKE THESE CAN GIVE YOU LIPOID PNEUMONIA!!! JUST DON'T!!!
Do your research guys.
