i LOVE this place!!!
the hubs and i were hungry for some japanese food so we headed out to finally give inaba a try.
to our dismay, they were closed til 6 so we headed on down to spring mountain and decided to hit up nakamura-ya.
man, are we so super glad we did!
calamari with lemon and garlic - huge whole pieces of calamari, lightly seasoned with lemon and garlic. simple yet full of flavor.
madai carpaccio - light and fragrant. delicious!
uni with tomato cream sauce - are you freakin kidding me!? by far, one of the best things i ever ate! i love pasta. i love uni. what could be better? the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. the sauce was rich with big uni pieces throughout. it was decadent.
kurobuta pork and wagyu beef hamburger - i have no idea why they call this a hamburger. it's more like a giant meatball. according to the hubs, the best freakin meatball he's ever had. and the sauce was to die for.
creme brulee - the texture and flavors were definitely more asian than your typical creme brulee. it was very similar to an egg custard. perfectly caramelized on top. so good.
black sesame pudding - i love black sesame so i was sold when i saw this. it was very good.
i can't forget to mention the service.
it was stellar.
our server was very thorough in describing all of the dishes, she changed our plates after each dish, she kept our glasses full and she was so pleasant throughout the entire meal.
it was impressive.
really looking forward to our next visit.
