| - This is the best entertainment for the money anywhere!
We bought the VIP/Rail tkts for $30-ish Canadian each, had terrific eats and enjoyed every second of The Postman Always Blings Twice. ( whatever that means? It's just a really funny skit/improv show)
We brought our 15 year old daughter, who was clearly the only teen in the room, but there was nothing she hadn't heard before. I guess it depends on your kid. She's mature and performance-minded, did some work at New York Film Academy in NYC last summer, so she has a diverse network to draw from. Website says 16 plus. It's flexible.
And out of the three of us, she enjoyed it the most. The whole experience of it, especially the intimate setting.
These performers are really working it up there. You leave with a lot of respect for the craft.
Tips:
Do NOT eat here! Chicken fingers and fries, that's about it. Eat dinner elsewhere first. We went to Fresh on Spadina, which was amazing!
If you don't have Rail seats, arrive early. For a 7:30 show, we arrived at 6:35, doors opened at 6:45 and we were first Rail tkts seated, which were seats 1,2 and 3 with perfect view and spacious compared to floor seats.
Basic beers here are well priced. We just had a club soda and coke but my daughter ordered the virgin strawberry daiquiri so she could have the souvenir glass as a memento. Total bill was $18. Deal.
We'd go back just to watch facial expressions on Rasmussen. Amazing.
