| - I want to preface this review by saying, I generally dislike salespeople and car dealerships. We drove 3 hours to get here because the majority of the dealerships in/near Charlotte just have a better selection because of their massive lots. The car that I have been absolutely in love with for 7 years has frequently been turning itself off and a lot more has been breaking than I can keep up with so I decided I needed to get a compact or subcompact (something with better gas mileage.) I was open to a few cars, but I had my eye on a Chevy sonic in particular. We got here 30 minutes early due to there being no traffic for once. I had set up an appointment with Jim Doyle, but we were told that he was busy with other clients so we would be working with Jennifer Baker. They both were very polite and nice and I understand that this dealership is extremely busy, I just don't like the sudden switch. I suppose that's a personal preference. I also dislike that even though we almost dealt exclusively with Jennifer, they have to split commission (That's BS). The test drive went well and you get to go a fair distance. We got back to talk numbers and I wasn't uncomfortable with the price because it was in my budget, but I wanted it to come down a little due to a few things. I was surprised at how inflexible they were with pricing, not that I was lowballing, but I am extremely used to going back and forth with lots of things. This was my first time purchasing a vehicle outright from a dealership so it threw me off. I was even more surprised that they wouldn't take less if I paid cash. So, they came down about 400 in the end so I did purchase the vehicle, but had they not come off the price-I would have walked out because I just get irritated easily. They aren't pushy with extras which is nice. A simple "no" did suffice for a lot of things. It didn't take terribly long. 2pm to 5pm, I bought the vehicle, had the paperwork done, added the insurance, and was on my way home. The bank stuff went by fairly fast, but it does take up the majority of the time that you're in there. They also have water available which is nice, but their bathrooms are a little outdated for how nice the showroom is. In the end, it's still a car dealership and of the places that I have been with friends, it's a lot better than some slimier places. I would recommend at least checking it out because there are a lot of fair priced vehicles here.
