  • Have been coming here for my car service for about 7 years. Jose is my service advisor and usually I don't have too many issues. One day I came in for an oil change and another guy was my service advisor. He told me that I needed a new water pump, plus among other things the diff, transmission and radiator needed flushing. He quoted me something like $2200 and tried to get me to schedule an appointment for the water pump as it really needed replacing. Even though there was no water on the floor, (he said that it was sitting in the housing). They also left the coolant level low as well to further the lie. I refused and kept a constant eye on the coolant level. 18 months and 3 services later at Desert and another Toyota dealer, my coolant level hasn't moved. Neither has Jose or the other Toyota dealer brought up the water pump or the diff / transmission flush. By the way, I was told last week by the other Toyota Dealer that my car was fine. Fact is, Desert Toyota and this service advisor lied. I also noticed that if I took the car in late in the day, rather than in the morning, there was usually no so called issues with it.
