| - If you love estate selling like I do, you will try your best to avoid ones held by this company. Me and my mom will try attend a few on Fridays and Saturdays, we aren't looking for anything In particular but rather just looking for a bargain. We appreciate the items that are being sold at the estate sales versus yard sales that mainly sale people's unwanted trash. I have learned from my past experiences and dealing with the woman in the overalls who owns this company ...I will no longer attend estate sales that she organizes..rather unorganizes!
Believe me when I tell you that she prices nothing, barely lays things out for you to browse. If you want something priced you have to stand in a line to speak to her and you would be lucky if she stood there long enough to answer your question before she's adverts her attention elsewhere. If you get the honor to speak with her and dare to ask her a price, don't be surprised if you get (non)sticker shock. She has overpriced things on multiple occasions, no deals either if you try to bundle. Be warned, you will be paying close to retail on most things. I have also tried to ask her about pricing on a large item...she has the nerve to ask me to bring it to her for her to see it. Really..when I gave her a crazy look, she then asked me to describe it to her..yeah, she doesn't know what's in the house because she hasn't been through it to organize or price it! I once asked her pricing for baskets and a small hand purse, she quoted me something ridiculous for which I called her out on before putting the items back. She must have a moment of weakness since my daughter wanted the purse, and then offered me the purse for a dollar because she didn't want my daughter to be upset!
She has no register and settles payments from her overall pockets, I'm not kidding, she wears them to every estate sale! She is usually the only one running her crazy shit show too, so he same line for pricing inquiries is also the same line for payments. After the purse experience, I vowed I would not attend anymore of her sales, I don't need that kind of stress for used items.
I once drove to one of her sales not realizing it was hers..I walked in..saw her ...and walked right back out. My mom is more forgiving than me, and decided to test her luck. While I waited outside I was just amazed at how ridiculous this woman was. Someone had purchased a globe earlier and had forgotten it. Another woman wanted to buy it and after "overalls" took the time to explain that it had already been purchased, she then turned around and sold it to her anyway. Maybe 5 minutes had gone by when the original purchaser returned for her item..well guess what, it wasn't there. "Overalls" had no remorse what so ever and told her she should have remembered to taker her item!
This morning my mom took me to a sale, she doesn't look to see who's running it. It opened at 9am, we arrived maybe 5 or so minutes early. We waited in our car until about 9:02am before walking up to the house. A line had formed in front of the house starting at the front door. People tried knocking and ringing the bell to no avail..no one was there. At 10 after, people had begun to leave. This was a house in the Anthem community with narrow streets and a small traffic jam had started in front of this house with a woman blocking traffic for both directions. Next thing you know, here comes "overalls" banging on this woman's car window telling her to move her vehicle so she can get through to open the house and sell her items. People who had been waiting in line yelled to her.."if you had been here on time, you would t have this problem!" Amen! After seeing her, I ,of coarse, walked back to my car..this time my mom followed. Perhaps she has finally learned her lesson as well!
