| - After a year and a half of living in the 'burgh and passing it by so many times, I finally ventured out here after work, one fine day. It did not disappoint. In fact, I cannot wait to go back again. Because it was later towards evening, and I wanted to see the dinosaurs too at the adjoining Natural History Museum, I did not have time to see the entire museum. It still gets 5 stars from me, and I know that when I get to seeing the rest, it will live up to this rating. Especially after reading the other reviews. I specifically went to the Iris van Herpen exhibit and was swept away. I definitely recommend a visit to see this, especially if you are into fashion, or a fan of Alexander McQueen (similar aesthetic, she also happened to be his intern at one time). Check my pics. They have social and educational events all the time, even yoga! wish I'd been hip to these before. I am now though! The price of a ticket is half off after 3pm weekdays, which includes access to the Museum of Natural History. Thursdays they're open until 8pm, so you get more time to see both. There's benches to sit, if you need to rest. They have a chef driven cafe, inclusive of an espresso and wine bar. The gift shop isn't that big, but has the usual, unique items of a museum gift shop. The CMOA is one of the best sites in Pittsburgh, hands down. Go and get swept away!
