| - With 985 reviews under my belt, my friends handed me the task of picking a place to eat on a Friday night. "Keep it cheap, but not too cheap". "Classy but not stuffy". "I want MEAT". "Something off the strip". "$20 entrees, plus drinks." "Dude, we trust you". Ok, I got this.
The reviews were, in the words of Vin Scully, "remarkable". Two $$. Good looking pictures (food porn). Easy to make reservations for a party of eight. My wife and I were the first to arrive and we had the choice of inside or outside. The bar area is gorgeous, the inside had cool music and a classy vibe but the patio was perfect for us. We are a loud group so we wanted to feel more comfortable. Red and white lights above us on the canvas patio cover. Very simple, kind of cool.
Service was prompt and efficient. The tapas were amazing. Top picks were the hot cheese dishes with chorizo, bacon wrapped dates and tuna tartare. The highlight was the paella. We had one with seafood and another with chicken and mushroom. Killer dishes. 3 pitchers of different sangria so made us all fuzzy and happy.
The desserts were plentiful and the banana Nutella dish was a standout dish. In truth, I was pretty buzzed to remember too much but all of my friends had a great time. About $40 per head including booze, tax and tip. Winner winner tasty dinner.
