| - I feel the need to mention, I am pushing 45, hadn't done much serious working out in YEARS and had been petrified to try out Crossfit because I was embarrassed I wouldn't fit in, would be laughed at, wouldn't know what to do...you get the drift. That was almost a year ago and I can't imagine ever going back to a 'regular' gym.
Fitting in? People at this gym range in age from teens to 80's....(I might be exaggerating, but I am far from being the oldest). Age should not be your reason to not try it out. Body sizes range from skinny to couch potato to hulkish. Men, women....Everyone is welcome!
Being laughed at? NO WAY! VVV members are encouraging, helpful and friendly. They might laugh with you, because we do have a lot of fun while working out!
Not knowing what to do? Definitely not a reason to not try it out! The trainers (every single one of them) will make sure you know what to do, how to do it, will check on you and give you pointers, and make sure your form is good. And, they'll modify movements for you, if needed.
I think what I've decided I like best about VVV is that you can work at your own level. They'll push you to try new things, and increase weight, but there is NEVER an expectation that you have to do exactly the same as everyone else. Plus I've now lost over 18 pounds and cut my pant size in half; AND I continue to eat pizza, burgers and Dairy Queen on a far too regular basis!
I cannot say enough about VVV, it's truly a special place with absolutely wonderful people! Check them out!
