  • Was very impressed with this establishment during my pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum care. Everyone we encountered that was associated with this hospital was wonderful to work with. The hospital has extensive resources to prepare new parents for birth and parenthood, as well as follow up care. The birth of a child is a very special occasion and the nurses and staff at Mercy Gilbert made our experience magical. They are a "baby friendly" hospital and a lot of the things I wanted out of my delivery, they already routinely provide. They make it easy for a mom to advocate for the birth that she wants. All of the nurses have extensive lactation training and a lot even have further education than what is minimally required. The care provided during recovery was top notch and they made sure everyone was comfortable, confident (and as ready as one can be) to discharge. They even call you a few days after you are home to check on you! The only thing I would have changed is the fat hospital bill that comes in the mail a few weeks later, but that is not necessary the fault of the hospital, but is a major flaw in our healthcare system in general. We LOVED Mercy Gilbert and will always highly recommend.
