Cracks me up to see the reviews with complaints about being told to be quiet... or toddlers weren't let in.... because these are the exact reasons why we go to Alamo.
Call me crazy, but I think of this place as a bar that just happens to show good movies. And on that note, I'd rather not pay to see a movie with a bunch of screaming kids and loud people. I don't think these are unreasonable demands from an establishment for adults.
On the subject of food- honestly- they had me at "bottomless popcorn with real butter," and I will come back to shamelessly stuff handfuls of it into my face. The loaded fries are also pretty darn delicious... as is the green chile stew. Really excited to try their other menu items.
On the subject of drinks- great beer list, and they make a pretty legit margarita. When you put it into perspective of how much you'd be spending at another theater for a non-alcoholic drink, the prices are very reasonable.
To sum it up.... leave your toddlers at home.... don't be "that guy" that's super loud or texting.... and you will have a great time.
