| - I waffled between a two and a three, so I'll round up because a lot of my gripes are probably more related to the decline of electronics stores in general than to this particular location of Best Buy.
As a teenager I was at Best Buy nearly weekly. It was my go-to for CDs, as they inevitably had almost every new release I wanted for $8 to 10. My trips to Best Buy are around once or twice a year these days, but they still have some good deals.
I recently stopped in to buy a printer on a weekday afternoon. The store seemed weirdly busy, and as such I was unable to find anyone to help me. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, found the printer pretty quickly, but was unable to locate any boxes for it on the shelf. I wandered back and forth for almost ten minutes trying to find someone to help me. I finally was able to track down an associate, who had to track down a second associate to grab my box. While it was difficult to initially get customer service, it was actually pretty great when I finally received it. The gentleman who helped me was polite and efficient, and carried my box up to the front and placed it on a cart for me to take to my car. The box wasn't super heavy, but it was large and my short little arms appreciated the help so I wouldn't have to waddle out of the store trying to grip it.
Best Buy is no longer a destination for me, but if I need to make a large electronics purchase it's most likely where I'll end up.
