| - After attending the Alamo Victory soft opening, I couldn't be more stoked to have a new cinema option in town.
The theater is in a beautiful, new building with spacious parking. The lobby is modern, colorful, and whimsical, complete with waiting benches, a photo booth, and bar. The actual auditoriums give off a classic movie-going vibe. From the decor to the pre-show footage to their strict no phone usage rule, you'll feel as though you're back in the silver age of cinema. The ordering system is simple and effective, although the way they organized the tables in the upper rows of 17 seats was a little misleading. (Seat one has a solo table and then each set of two seats after share a table.) It seemed that many others assumed the shared tables would begin with seat one as well, so everyone ended up having to become quite chummy with the person next to them. Regardless, the food is absolutely delicious and affordable compared to other dine-in theaters, and the cocktails are creative and well-made.
One last note, the seats aren't luxury recliners, the screen isn't a monstrosity, the sound isn't going to be so booming that it vibrates your seat, and there aren't going to be any over-the-top experience gimmicks. It seems that Alamo wants you to go to a movie to enjoy a movie the way it was originally intended. So if that's your thing, this is your place.
