  • I flew to England with air transat on an overnight flight on the way there and a day time flight on the way back. We left around 8 pm Toronto time on the way there, no food was offered for dinner, luckily I had bought a sandwich before hand and brought it on the plane with me so that was my dinner. When we "woke up" personally I didnt sleep at all because who really can on a plane, we were given a huge muffin which was basically cake. The flight attendents were so bitter and glared the customers down consistently. They talked in French to each other so who really knew what they were saying (possibly about you). On the flight home they were much nicer, we got lunch which was edible and then a snack (sandwich) as well closer to the end of the flight. However the flight was totally overbooked and the plane was disgusting by the time we landed. The second experience I had with air transat which much better however, we flew to Cuba (roughly a 2 hour flight), both times we were served meals and drinks - on the way there we got a choice of pasta which was pretty gross and salty but I was hungry so I ate it and they gave you some GROSS tomato, cucumber and other unidentifiable vegetable "medley" I almost yacked trying to pick out the cucumber so I gave up. On the way back it was sheppards pie which I did try to sample as I was feeling sick. Overall, the service was quite nice but the food was gross. Also another thing that bothered me on the way home was that me and my boyfriend checked in together but they put us in seperate seats! I don't really know why they would do that?? My boyfriend ended up squished in a middle seat, he was none too pleased. I luckily ended up with a mother daughter combo both of which were very tiny like me so we all fit perfectly. Note: You have to pay for earphones $3 for a pair. Rip off. Make sure you bring your own and you can listen for free.
