I am not a frequent Tremont- goer, as everyone i know is lame and stopped drinking when they turned 22. The times i've gone were for the art-walks or to see DJ Krauty McKraut. Duck Island is a performance art/ working class dive/ potential starting point of the next american revolution. The bar is small, the "stage" is small, and the outdoor patio is cozy. The bathroom was basically a closet, a bucket and a box of kleenex. The bartender was comely and friendly. I can't say that about a lot of local bar staff. I definitely need to go back and see some weird band. A caveat: the area of duck island isn't as metropolitan or as well lit as near Edison's or Fahrenheit.
