  • Alright. Let's be real for a minute, I don't see anyone who doesn't know boba, ever setting foot in here after one experience. I'm so torn between this place being good for the sake of the drinks being good, and being, well... confused. This place fell short. Why go there: If you can get over some of the anomalies of this place, grab a drink to go and just go with it, meaning your drink may taste great and you will get a decent boba drink... though there were misses that won't get them higher than 3 stars until they are attended to... Misses: We first walked in with no one inside working. The one(s) working were actually outside at the table in front of the store. I, the customer walks in with two kids, and the "worker" takes a good 2 mins to even walk in her own store! They strangely sell odd things there like fried fish balls and egg rolls... but the rest is boba. With the addition of a waffle. What? Already confused. They have signs and pictures of everything literally everywhere, there was a stack of magazines on this middle bar thing that could be used for seating. Just a bit confused, I've seen my fair share of moms and pops Southeast Asian run stores/restaurants and it reminded me of such, but in Glendale. There was music going as well as TMZ blaring over the TV speakers, the mix was irritating to say the least. Overall: The boba selection is plenty, they executed well, but when I take into account the entire experience, two things that I look for out of four were a missed. The selection was great, but confusing, no order to things and no way to know what to get if that's your first time. The drinks tasted right, but the experience in all failed. The setting was cluttered from dining room to register with photos and random food specials of the day signage. I was the only one in there, no one behind me and felt like I had decision paralysis simply because I couldn't make sense of the menu(s). If they don't change up the style in their customer experience, I sadly don't see them being able to afford the rent there for long. It's a bummer, the boba tasted great, the environment and simplicity of this place lacks. More is not more, simple is just right. Not sure I'd return, but if someone picked me up a drink from there to bring to the office I'd be game.
