| - Typical Residence Inn....
Centrally located just a 15 minute walk to the Metro,Marche Atwater,Super C grocery,SAQ and Canal,Joe Beef, Liverpool House and the funky little shops and cafe in the neighborhood.
Reasonably priced self parking in hotel's basements. I like having access to my car 24/7 but you better drive a small, low auto as the antenna on my VW Jetta touched the ceilings several times and the spaces are tight.Larger cars and SUV's are accommodated off site.
Lobby/lounge/Breakfast/Snack/reception area is spacious, clean, modern and well furnished with quiet nooks and comfy furniture to service gusts and visitors with free WIFI.
Reception is bright and staffed by some of the most friendly, efficient and solicitous Marriot staff I have ever encountered. Soon after check in you'll receive a call inquiring about your room and if you have any requests and another to confirm if all of those requests were fulfilled. Nice Touch.
Rooms are large and reasonably appointed, some with complete kitchens, dishwasher and all, bathrooms are clean, bright but rather small, towels abundant and Paul Mitchell toiletries are offered.
Beds are firm and bedding top notch if a bit lacking...conspicuously missing is a nice comforter, down filled or otherwise.
Free WIFI in all rooms but it proves to be painfully and frustratingly slow, no doubt in an clever attempt to lure guests to pay for the optional higher speed WIFI service.
Now I've read some of the reviews complaining about the rather simple free breakfast but it strikes me that you're visiting what is arguably the premier culinary capital of Canada abounding with bakeries, cafes and markets so have a quick coffee, perhaps a waffle and some fresh fruit and go out there and explore.....Montreal is a fantastic walking city so go for a stroll and find Breakfast.
The only other issue I see is the painfully inadequate bank of 2 tiny elevators to service this high rise hotel and pretty much why I omitted 1 star.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend this location to friends.
