Mindful has certainly hit a popular niche here in our area. Evidenced by the full parking lot and long wait to be sat.
We decided to try Mindful on there third night open. We understood the wait might be longer than average. When we put our name at 6 PM and we were told an hour. Better than anticipated! Our group decided to hit the bar and try out some of their beers.
The beers were great! For the variety we tried we were impressed with the depth of flavor. They were certainly on point.
After an hour and ten minutes we still did not have a table. We were told if a table at the bar opens up they are first come first serve. We snagged a table at the bar at the hour and a half mark. We sat there for 45 minutes and not one server came up to us. We tried to grab someone who we thought was the manager and he brushed us off.
We finally gave up and went to another local bar to get food. We would have loved to try Mindful's food as the menu looked good.
Overall drink service was great, but food service seemed to be non-existent.
UPDATE: we went back to Mindful around 4 PM on a Friday evening. We did not have to wait for a table. Our server this time around was friendly and knowledgeable. The food took slightly longer than average to arrive at the table. We had the margarita pizza, the meat pizza, perogies, and mac n cheese. The margarita pizza lacked flavor, it was missing something. The meat pizza was a bit soggy from the number of toppings. I did not try wings personally but was told they were overdone. The perogies were crispy and tasty.
Overall I am leaving the review at 3 stars. This time around we found management to be helpful and attentive. We did have an actual server this time. But the food leaves something to be desired.
