| - Wow, what an utter disappointment. As I approach 50 I am looking for something to add strength and toning to my Cleveland Yoga routine. I was ready to pay the high prices if it fit my needs. I arrived today at 9:10 am for a 9:45 class. The receptionist asked if I had registered and paid, I said no, I figured I could come early and do it then. She told me that it would be better to go home and sign up and attend another class on another day. I asked if I could just pay cash then to take a drop in, I was told no, they only take credit. But I couldn't pay with a credit card either! I asked if I could try signing up right then so that I could pay, she said I could try but that it would be better to go home, register and try another class. I said I would like to try to sign up and finally did and I got registered. But by then I was past the 45 minute window you must be outside of to register and pay for a class! She told me to try another day. I said I would like to speak with the owner assuming she would certainly let me hand over $25 cash to try a drop in. The owner came out and she and the receptionist chatted. The owner approached me and said "Have you paid?" I responded no, but I would like to and take a class. She said "You can't, you have to register and pay 45 minutes for class." No smile, so apology, no please come back.
After reading these reviews I can see that Barre Cleveland has some serious issues. Too bad as I could have been a great client for them. I go to Cleveland Yoga regularly and there is ALWAYS a smiling face at the counter and they let you check in for a class anytime--even if you are late.
I was eager to support a locally owned business. My next stop will be Barre3 in Legacy Village which I have heard great things about and will hopefully be more welcoming, customer friendly and up to speed with e-sign ups.
