I went to yuzu tonight after reading great reviews from friends. That hype fell pretty short for my liking. The service was great and having been to yuzu before for drinks I knew that it would have a dive bar vibe to it. My meal started off with yuzu fries which reminded me of McDonald's fries with horse radish sauce one them. They weren't a bad little snack. On Monday's their vegan rice bowls are half price so along with my main course of pork belly ramen I ordered the Little Indian bowl (vegan). The only way I can describe the ramen is as if you put warm soy sauce in a bowl, with a brick of top shelf ramen and garnished it with frozen corn and a hard boiled egg from a bag. The little Indian bowl tasted like microwaved rice (overly soggy/slimy) topped with a prepackaged vegan meal with some decent seasoning on top. Nothing was really "bad". I just feel like I could have made everything I ate here in my microwave without having to use any cooking utensils. Was debating going lower but 4 stars because service was great and everything was exactly what I would have expected from yuzu. I'm slightly disappoint because of the hype other people gave it got to me.
P.s. I was almost charged full price for the rice bowl. I think it was an honest mistake but check your bills :-)
Months after eating her I had to update my rating. Every time I see local foodies advertising yuzus food I get nauseous.
