I'd like to start off by stating I did NOT end up using this company, so my review is not based on their performance. My review is solely on the customer service while ATTEMPTING to use their company.
I purchased a Living Social deal. The deal was 2 hours, 2 movers and a truck for $84. I called to make a reservation in which I spoke to Lamar. Told him I needed movers for a certain date and I have the Living Social voucher. Right away he asked "did you already buy it?" I said yes. He then said he'll call me right back. About 10 mins later he called back and asked again if I had already purchased it. I said yes. Then he sounded disappointed and asked if I knew how it works. Long story short, here's the "fine print" that was given to me:
1) They start timing once they leave their building and that alone is 45mins to an hour right there (mind you, I haven't even said where I'm located)
2) They will then complete the job and total the hours and take off $84. I didn't understand this, so I asked if the job takes 3 hours total, my voucher is good for 2 hours, so I should pay an additional hour. He said no. Only $84 off, and their regular charge is $84/hour already. So I asked if that meant the living social deal is only really good for 1 hour? He said yes because they start timing from when they leave their building. (Again, he still has no idea where I'm located)
We went back and forth a bit and he asked how long ago I purchased my voucher because they will give me refund if it's been less than 7days and to get my money back and then call him back so he can give me a "better deal".
Yeah no thanks. I called Living Social and explained the situation and she was happy to give my money back (even though it was well over 7days) after she heard how shady this company is being.
