Thanks to the "new businesses" section of Yelp, we found and visited this cool, innovative spot in downtown Las Vegas.
I love the idea of using shipping containers as businesses, and the atmosphere here is relaxed, friendly, and inviting. I love that this casual, laid-back spot is just a couple of blocks from the frenetic Fremont Street Experience.
We wandered the shops of the Downtown Container Park and talked with several of the owners/workers. We loved the playset in the middle, the stage (and lovely music coming from it), the fire-spewing praying mantis, the foam-rubber building set...
My husband kept saying, "We need a place like this in Seattle..."
This is clearly a great addition to downtown Las Vegas. I'll be watching with interest to see how the Downtown Container Park -- and downtown Las Vegas in general -- evolve.
